Payne named to Louisville Slugger All Region First Team
This year, 159 student-athletes from 92 high schools spanning 28 states have earned the distinguished honor of being named to one of 10, 2012 Louisville Slugger/NFCA High School All-Region teams.

Walla Walla High School outfielder TraeAnn Payne was named to the West Region First Team. Teammates Alyson Ambler, Jordi Storm, Andrea Hamada and Libbie Jimenez were named to the West Region Second Team. The Blue Devils (26-2) fell just short of the WIAA Class 4A state title this season, losing to undefeated Woodinville in the finals.

All players who were selected to one of the five first teams in their respective region are now eligible to be named as either a 2012 NFCA First-Team, Second-Team or Honorable Mention High School All-American. The 2012 NFCA High School All-American teams will be announced on Tuesday, June 26 on NFCA.org.
