Walla Walla High School student receives $42,000 Whitman College scholarship

Walla Walla High School senior Marcos Medina has received the Lomen-Douglas Scholarship from Whitman College. Medina is receiving the maximum amount of scholarship awarded to a Loman Douglas Scholar at Whitman. He will receive $42,000 annually.

Lomen-Douglas Scholarships range from $2,000 to $47,000 and vary depending on achievement and financial need. Lomen-Douglas Scholarships are renewable for a students entire Whitman career. Loman Douglas Scholarship students whose backgrounds and experiences demonstrate the ability to contribute to increasing socioeconomic and multicultural diversity awareness at Whitman are chosen to receive these scholarships.
