Walla Walla Public Schools Teams with SchoolMessenger to Keep You Informed
Notification services include telephone, text, email, mobile app, social media
Walla Walla Public Schools is now partnering with SchoolMessenger to keep you informed through its dynamic notification system. Parents and staff will have the opportunity to receive SchoolMessenger telephone messages, emails and text messages. The new services will also include a mobile app and expansion of district social media presence.
Parents and staff will be able to opt-out of General Messages per the Federal Communications Commission Telephone Consumer Protection Act law. The only exception is for emergency calls. If you wish to opt-out of General Messages, follow the instructions below.
Opt-Out Instructions (Using Skyward Family Access Skylert)
- Log-in and open Skyward Family Access - https://www2.scrdc.wa-k12.net/scripts/cgiip.exe/WService=wwallas71/fwemnu01.w
- In the left hand menu, click on “Skylert”
- Review contact information and ensure current information is in Skylert (Change information as needed)
- Uncheck the General Message box to Opt-Out of these messages
- Select “Save” to save your information to the system & exit

Text Messages – Opt-In Instructions (Using Skyward Family Access Skylert)
- Log-in and open Skyward Family Access - https://www2.scrdc.wa-k12.net/scripts/cgiip.exe/WService=wwallas71/fwemnu01.w
- In the left hand menu, click on “Skylert”
- Go to “additional contact info” section and type in the phone number you prefer for text messages
- Select “Save” to save your information to the system & exit
- Text messages will come from 67587
- You can receive text messages for General Information, Attendance and Emergencies
