Tuesday, Dec. 12 Walla Walla County Superior Court Judge Brandon Johnson administered the Oath of Office to school board members Ruth Ladderud, Alayna Brinton and Derek Sarley. He also swore in Walla Walla High School Sophomore Eva Maxwell as a Student Board Representative.

Ladderud began her service on the school board in 2012. Sarley was elected in 2015 and Brinton replaces Eric Rindal as she begins her first-term. Brinton received her undergraduate degree from Washington State University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Walla Walla University. Alayna has 20 years of experience specializing in mental health support and possesses a comprehensive understanding of systemic dynamics crucial for effective decision-making.

Maxwell is the second-ever Student Representative on the school board. She serves on the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council and is the ASB Class President for sophomores.
