Hisaw named Coach of the Year

Congratulations to Walla Walla High School Track & Field Coach Eric Hisaw for being named the Coach of the Year for the state of Washington by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Hisaw led the Blue Devils boys track team to the 3A State Track & Field championship this spring. Hisaw was selected based on his teams’ performances throughout the 2022 outdoor track & field season. Among the factors taken into consideration were team score and placement at the state championships, margin of victory, performance against rankings if available, individual championships, and how their teams’ performances stacked up to previous years (e.g. first title in school history, consecutive titles, etc.).

Hisaw will receive a trophy from the USTFCCCA recognizing his achievements. Click HERE to see the full list of recipients from across the nation.
