Kiwanis generous donation supports safety

Kiwanis supports Safety Bench project at Pioneer Middle School

Kiwanis Club of Walla Walla donated $800 for a new “Safety Bench” at Pioneer Middle School. Kiwanis President Sharon Gerbino partnered with Physical Education teacher Donna Morris on the project. The bench is located near the gym off of Bridge St. in a lighted, covered area. Morris said the area is ideal for students to sit in a safe, dry area while waiting for rides. Students at SEA-TECH built the sturdy, powder-coated bench. Gerbino says Kiwanis is proud to support area students and promote safety.
