Health Center expands services to Pioneer Middle School

The Health Center is expanding services to Pioneer Middle School this school year to address healthcare needs in support of reducing barriers to a quality education. Presently The Health Center operates clinics for Lincoln High School and Blue Ridge Elementary students.

Director Stan Ledington reported to school board members July 19 that the expansion to Pioneer Middle School will serve students at a critical stage in their development. Services will include primary medical care, behavioral health, health education and care coordination. This expansion will double the number of students The Health Center serves. The Health Center is a locally operated nonprofit and does not receive direct funding from the school district.
