The zSpace Virtual Reality Mobile Classroom Tour traveled to Walla Walla High School Thursday, May 19. Walla Walla Public Schools is creating its own zSpace virtual reality computer lab to be fully operational next school year. The zSpace STEM Lab is designed for student-centered learning, with teachers in the lab as facilitators. Typically, two to three students are engaged per zSpace system. All zSpace activities are aligned with state and national science standards to support curriculum development and classroom integration. zSpace applications come with standards-based activities and support materials for STEM Education.

“zSpace provides hands-on, Virtual Reality-based learning experiences in which students use 21st century skills collaboratively to solve real world problems,” said Dennis Matson, Walla Walla Public Schools SEA-TECH/CTE director. “The objective of the tour bus stop is to bring zSpace’s Virtual Reality STEM desktops, and all their latest, most advanced applications right to the doorstep of students and teachers.”
