Blue Day at Prospect Point promotes Juvenile Arthritis awareness

Prospect Point students organized Blue Day to raise awareness about Juvenile arthritis (JA). Also known as pediatric rheumatic disease, JA is an umbrella term used to describe the many autoimmune and inflammatory conditions or pediatric rheumatic diseases that can develop in children under the age of 16. Juvenile arthritis affects nearly 300,000 children in the United States.

The event was spearheaded by 5th grade student Jack Wanichek, along with the PALS program. The students produced a Public Service Announcement which is airing on Charter Media.
