Elementary children beam at Walla Walla High School Farm Day

This week more than 600 district elementary students visited the Walla Walla High School farm to participate in Farm Day. Students in the Agriculture program brought in their animals and created fun, interactive learning zones for the children to see. Sophomore Kayla Pitzer organized this year’s event.

“We all enjoying seeing the kids pet the animals and having fun on our school farm,” said Pitzer. “Many of the children who come here haven’t had the opportunity to visit a farm or see livestock so it’s especially rewarding to make this happen for them.”
