Berney students shine in emergency drill

Berney Elementary staff and students conduct an off campus evacuation drill as part of the school’s emergency procedures plan. The staff and students walked to the Blue Mountain Community Church near the school. If it was an actual emergency and the school was not safe to return to then the staff and students would be bused to the Walla Walla County Fairgrounds to reunite with their parents.

Principal Christy Krutulis reported the students performed wonderfully and she thanked her staff for their leadership. She also extended a thank you to the Blue Mountain Community Church for partnering with Berney in support of school safety.
