Bingham named to Blue Devil Athletic Hall of Fame

Walla Walla High School Class of 1989 graduate David Bingham was recently named a member of the Walla Walla High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Bingham is the school’s 53rd inductee. Bingham was a standout athlete in football, basketball and baseball earning first team all conference honors twice in all three sports. He was also a two-time winner (1988 and 1989) of the Blue Mountain Male Athlete of the year award.

Bingham helped lead Wa-Hi to its only state title in baseball in 1988. He went to play baseball at Lewis and Clark State College in Lewiston where he helped take the Warriors to the 1992 NAIA Championship. Bingham was drafted by the Atlanta Braves organization in 1992 and played professionally in the minor leagues for five years. He currently lives in Gig Harbor, and works as a corrections officer.
