Seven out of 10 bonds failing across the state in General Election

The 60 percent supermajority hurdle to pass a construction bond in Washington state continues to prove to be too steep for most school district’s across the state. Preliminary results tallied from the Nov. 3 general election reveal seven out of 10 bond proposals are failing. Washington state bond elections the past seven years indicate a similar low approval rate trend.

- 2010 - 47%
- 2011 - 15%
- 2012 - 67%
- 2013 - 48%
- 2014 - 35%
