Area quilt guild donates quilts to special needs children
The Walla Walla Valley Quilt Guild recently donated quilts to the district’s Special Education Birth-to-Three program. The quilts will be given to the families as they are introduced to the program. Program coordinator Missy Newcom says the gifts help show the district and community care deeply for the families and children.
“The families are excited to get the quilts and the kids are even more pleased,” said Newcom. “The kids will often carry the quilts around and get very attached to them.”
