Pioneer Middle School students shine in writing contest

Pioneer Middle School 7th grade student Daria Parodi took first place honors in the local VFW writing contest while classmate Megan Harvey earned second place honors. The contest challenged students to reflect on why veterans are brave and important to our country. The students were honored at a local luncheon. Parodi and Harvey are in Richelle Palmer’s class.
