Tuesday night, GEAR UP staff members Marika Tomkins and Becky Waggoner-Schwartz briefed school board members on the free GEAR UP 4 Tomorrow event. The event, created to help students prepare for college and a career, features two national keynote speakers: Lt. Col. Army (Ret.) Consuelo Castillo Kickbusch; and Roy Juarez, Jr.

Walla Walla Community College is also providing free breakfast snacks and lunch.
