The bond proposal to modernize Walla Walla High School failed Tuesday night garnering a 53.30 percent YES vote. The proposal required a 60 percent “Supermajority” for approval. The district will now review concerns and comments to determine its next move. No decisions have been made regarding a future Wa-Hi bond proposal.
Meanwhile, several school districts in the area passed construction bonds: Touchet School District passed a $6.5 million bond; Pasco School district passed a $46.8 million bond; Richland School District passed a $98 million bond.
