VIP 100 Hour Club

Celebrating National Volunteer Appreciation Month!
April is National Volunteer Appreciation Month. School board members honored and recognized the district's VIP volunteers during the April 16 meeting. Volunteer Coordinator Beth Swanson reported since implementing the new VIP Volunteer System in August 2023, the district's volunteer program has been able to provide a detailed, organized way to connect volunteers to schools/teachers/classrooms that are in need of volunteers.

VIP Highlights:
• VIP volunteers can volunteer at 12 different schools in WWPS
• 282 active volunteers
• 2520 volunteer hours logged
• 1819 volunteer needs have been filled
• 47 volunteers have volunteered over 20 hours
• 18 volunteers have logged over 100 hours
• $87,854 is the dollar value to WWPS from our volunteers!

Volunteers have prepped science projects, organized art supplies, shared their professional skills, chaperoned field trips, worked one-on-one with students or just played during recess. Swanson said all of the district's volunteers have contributed to the success of our students and our schools by donating their time and expertise. The following volunteers are part of the VIP 100 Hour Club for logging more than 100 hours of service this school year.
