County COVID Activity Report Reveals Continued Decline in Community Trends
Data provided by the Walla Walla County Department of Community Health on Jan 31 reveals COVID-19 disease rates have met the district's threshold to transition middle school students back to in person learning later this month. A combined count of 200 cases over a 2 week period between Walla Walla and College Place jurisdictions was reported, meeting the criteria established by the Walla Walla School Board and Walla Walla Valley Education Association. This represents a 9 case decrease from the week prior and a 163 count reduction since the beginning of January.
The school board will be reviewing the data and transition at their Feb. 2 meeting. Details below.
