Superintendent Smith meets with state school board

Superintendent Smith tells state school board positive relationships key to school success.

Superintendent Wade Smith addresses the Washington State School Board of Education during its meeting in Walla Walla this week. Smith joined Dr. Marleen Ramsey, Vice President of Instruction/CIO, Walla Walla Community College and Tim Payne, Superintendent, College Place School District in a panel discussion on Creating Seamless Transitions between Secondary and Post-Secondary Educational Systems.

Smith mentioned the Blue Devil to Warrior program which is breaking down barriers for seniors transitioning to Walla Walla Community College and other partnerships with regional higher education institutions. He noted positive relationships between students and educators as the key to creating opportunities for post-secondary success.
