5th Avenue Theatre Adventure Musical

The 5th Avenue Theatre's Adventure Musical Theater made its second annual appearance at Garrison Middle School April 11. The two shows featured professional actors who performed "Free Boy", a historical fiction piece based on the true story of Charlie Mitchell, who came to the Washington Territory in 1850 as the slave of Surveyor General, James Tilton.  The story surrounds Charlie's escape via the Underground Railroad to Victoria, Canada. 

Garrison's ASB sponsored the event.  Shelly Crump, ASB advisor, says, "It is a valuable experience for our students to experience live theatre, when many may not have this opportunity again."

Student Neveah Unatoa said, "It was awesome!"
