Students visiting from Germany visit district schools
(L-R) Niklas Brenner and Lukas Mayer from Walla Walla High School’s partner school in Reutlingen, Germany present various aspects of German culture to Berney Elementary students. They visited district middle and elementary schools as part of this cultural exchange program.

The German students taught Walla Walla students words in German, sang children’s folk songs and answered questions. The students spent nearly one month in Walla Walla. They are planning a good-bye party at Pioneer Park on Friday, April 18.

The students fly back on Saturday, April 19. Special thanks to Walla Walla High School German teacher Curt Schafer for coordinating the visit.
