Wa-Hi JROTC to host national qualifying match
The Walla Walla High School JROTC program is hosting the United States Army National Air Rifle Championship local qualifying match Sunday, Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The match will be held at Wa-Hi shooting range. The Walla Walla teams will be joined by teams from Oregon City and Spokane to compete for a trip to the national championship hosted at Fort Benning, GA.
“The visibility of hosting a qualifying match coupled with the successes of our teams over the past two years is a good return on our investment,” said Lt. Col. Bill Bialozor. “Our quality facilities and current, relevant curriculum fosters student success and opens the doors to possible scholarship opportunities.”
