Delay/Closure Procedures

Certified Staff

In situations which necessitate the shortening of the school day (i.e. inclement weather and/or hazardous road conditions, etc.) all employees will be expected to report to work as soon as weather and/or road conditions, are safe. It shall be the responsibility of each employee to contact his/her immediate supervisor as early as possible if the employee will be late for the rescheduled start of school.

Twelve-Month Classified Employees

Twelve-month classified employees are expected to work their regular contract day even if the day has been shortened for students or if school has been cancelled. If, for some reason, the classified employee does not work the full day, they will need to take appropriate leave or vacation for the time not worked.

Less Than Twelve-Month Classified Employees

Less than twelve-month classified employees are expected to work their regular contract day even if the day has been shortened for students. If school has been cancelled, the less than twelve-month employee should not report to work. If school is cancelled after less than twelve-month employees come to work, they may either adjust their work schedule with their supervisor or be compensated for the hours worked on that day.
