Pioneer MS mourns loss of beloved student

Today at Pioneer Middle School staff and students are mourning the loss of a beloved student. Sixth grade student Nylah White passed away in her sleep Sunday at her home as the result of injuries sustained in an accidental fall.

Pioneer Middle School has activated its Crisis Response team. Grief counselors and additional staff are at the school today to provide support to students and staff, with additional support throughout the week as needed. A letter with grief support information will be going home today with students. Walla Walla Public Schools will announce information about funeral services once available. Our hearts and prayers are with Nylah’s family and friends during this extremely difficult time.
