Zahl leads successful scholarship fund
Walla Walla Public High Schools Scholarship fund nears $50,000
Walla Walla Public High Schools Scholarship Fund creator Jerry Zahl recently reported the scholarship endowment fund went past $43,000. The Walla Walla Public High Schools Scholarship,(WWPHS SF) is set up as a component of The Blue Mountain Community Foundation, in Walla Walla.

“The growth in the fund is largely due to continued and very generous support from the class members of 1962 and 1963, as well as the matching contributions from Garth and Mary Lindsey, plus a personal gift from them as well,” Zahl said. “We must share a very sincere thanks to all who are supporting this goal of making education a little easier for those who do want to continue their education beyond high school.”
Zahl says a gift to the scholarship fund is an excellent holiday gift.
“A gift honoring a friend or relative can be made,” Zahl said. “A tax deductible receipt will be mailed to the donor, and a card of tribute will be mailed to the honoree.”
