Wa-Hi Commencement to Proceed -- Rain or Shine

Wa-Hi Commencement this Friday -- be prepared for possible wet weather

The district is looking forward to Walla Walla High School’s Commencement Friday at 7 p.m. at the Walla Walla Fairgrounds, where nearly 400 students are set to earn their diplomas. District officials want students, parents and families to know that rain showers are currently in the forecast.

The ceremony will proceed, rain or shine. Guests are asked to dress appropriately. Although severe weather conditions such as lightning and thunderstorms are not in Friday’s forecast, additional safety measures are in place at the fairgrounds should temporary shelter become necessary. The graduation ceremony would traditionally resume following any temporary pause for severe weather conditions.
