County awards district for traffic safety awareness campaign

The district received a 2015 Media Outreach Award from the Walla Walla County Traffic Safety/DUI Task Force Thursday night at the Walla Walla Police Department Fulton Community Room. The district was recognized for its efforts to promote school zone safety through the use of television, radio, print and electronic media. The district works in collaboration with the Safe Travels Alliance, chaired by Kathryn Southwick Hess, to increase safety awareness and education. Thanks to WW County Target Zero Manager Nancy McClenny-Walters for doing an excellent job keeping our streets and roads safe!
