Jones earns induction in Athletic Hall of Fame

Class of 2007 graduate Carl Jones will be inducted in the Walla Walla High School Blue Devil Athletic Hall of Fame Saturday, Jan. 25 during half-time of the boys’ basketball game vs. Hanford.  The ceremony will be at approximately 8 p.m.

Jones was a three-time state champion in the 200 and 500 freestyle during his high school career. He was named Washington state swimmer of the year in 2007 and was a six-time High School All American and two-time USA Olympic Trials qualifier. Following high school, Jones attended the University of Tennessee where he was a four-year varsity letterman. 

A public reception honoring Jones is planned following the game in the Fletcher Room at the Walla Walla High School gym.
