Informational meeting planned for K-5 Science and TK-12 SEL curriculum adoption

Walla Walla Public Schools is updating its K-5 Science curriculum and adopting SEL (Social Emotional Learning) curriculum as part of the district’s ongoing adoption cycle The adoption process started in the winter and the proposed materials will go before the school board for adoption June 21. Staff in the Teaching and Learning Department are hosting an informational meeting Monday, May 9 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Anne Golden Boardroom at the district office.

This meeting is open to the public and a great opportunity to learn more about the materials being recommended for adoption. There will be time to ask questions, view materials and provide input about the proposed curriculum programs. Materials will also be available to view from Thursday, May 5 through Friday, May 13 at the district office and online.
