Kindergarten and New Student Enrollment
Enrollment Period: March 19-April 4
(Transition to Kindergarten 4-yrs-old, & Kindergarten 5-yrs-old)
Open Enrollment for the 2025-2026 School Year
Priority Period March 24-April 4
Kindergarten and New Student Enrollment will begin Wednesday, March 19, 2025
Transition to Kindergarten (TTK) and Kindergarten enrollment will open on Wednesday, March 19 for families with four or five-year-old children. This year, at the Kindergarten and Early Learning Roundup, families will have on-site enrollment support available.
Location: Walla Walla Center for Children and Families - March 19, from 3:30 to 6:00 pm.
Open Enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year will begin on Monday, March 24.
Priority will be given to families who complete the Open Enrollment paperwork during the initial two weeks of the period, from March 24 to April 4.
The application for dual language programming remains open.

Transition to Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Two-Way Dual Language Kindergarten Application:
- Walla Walla Public Schools’ enrollment period for Transition to Kindergarten (children turning four by August 31) and Kindergarten (children turning five by August 31) will commence on March 19. To enroll online, please visit our enrollment page.
- Paper enrollment packets can be obtained upon request by contacting your home/attendance area school or the district office at 509-526-6717.
- If you wish for your kindergarten child to participate in the district’s Two-Way Dual Language Program, hosted at Edison and Green Park Elementary Schools, please complete the online enrollment process and indicate “dual programming.” Also, complete the kindergarten dual application available online. Elementary Open Enrollment:
- Parents/guardians residing within Walla Walla Public Schools’ district boundary who desire to open enroll their child to a different WWPS school outside their attendance area will receive paperwork with their child during the week of March 10th. Information will also be available on the district’s website.
- Open Enrollment forms will be accepted at your child’s attendance area school starting Monday, March 24.
- Priority will be given to forms returned between March 24 and April 4.
Middle School Information & Open Enrollment:
- Fifth-grade students will receive information regarding middle school options for the 2025-2026 academic year during the week of March 10.
Choice Transfer for students living outside the WWPS boundary:
- Parents/Guardians residing outside the Walla Walla Public Schools boundary who wish to request enrollment into the WWPS boundary will need to complete a Choice Transfer Request online. https://eds.ospi.k12.wa.us/choicetransferrequest
Open Enrollment requests for Walla Walla Public Schools will be granted according to priorities outlined in School Board Policy & Procedure 3130 - District Attendance Areas, Open Enrollment, and Employees' Student Placement.
