About Camp Wooten
Built in 1935, Camp Wooten is a state park facility in the Blue Mountains, located outside Dayton near the Tucannon Campground.
Many who grew up in Walla Walla will remember Camp Wooten from their own days of attending 6th-grade school camp. Thanks to the hard work of park service rangers and volunteers, the camp is largely unchanged and still offers hiking trails, Donnie Lake, the Tucannon River, and plenty of open space for camp activities.
Facilities include a dining hall, lake, showerhouse, seventeen cabins for campers, additional adult cabins, a campfire circle, ample open fields, and covered/indoor activity spaces. While at camp, students can enjoy hiking, canoeing, a low ropes course, games, arts & crafts, and exploring nature.
