Governor Inslee praises Early Learning Center

Governor Inslee visits Walla Walla Center for Children and Families

Today Governor Jay Inslee stopped by the Walla Walla Center for Children and Families to learn more about early learning programs offered by Walla Walla Public Schools. The 45-minute walking tour of the school provided an opportunity for Governor Inslee to visit classrooms, interact with staff and meet parents with children enrolled in the program.

Governor Inslee, who also had his wife Trudi join him on the tour, was briefed on the limited access to childcare in Walla Walla and on the region’s lack of affordable housing. Governor Inslee and Trudi donated a children’s book they authored and illustrated to include in the WWCCF library.

Governor Inslee stressed his belief in high quality early learning programs and praised the district and staff for their excellent work at the Walla Walla Center for Children and Families.
