Winter iReady Diagnostic

Winter iReady assessments begin this week

Walla Walla Public Schools students will be taking the winter iReady Diagnostic test in math and reading during the weeks of January 16 and 23. The iReady Diagnostic is an adaptive assessment that adjusts its questions to suit the student’s needs. Each item a student sees is individualized based on their answer to the previous question.

For example, a series of correct answers will result in slightly harder questions, while a series of incorrect answers will yield slightly easier questions. The purpose of this is not to give the student a score or grade, but instead to determine how students are progressing to meeting grade level standards.

iReady supports teachers as they plan instruction, set goals with students, and assess learner progress.
