State Superintendent Reykdal Visit

Today State Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal was in Walla Walla to visit the Walla Walla Center for Children and Families to learn more about the district’s Transitional Kindergarten program. During his walking tour with Superintendent Dr. Wade Smith, Mr. Reykdal also visited Edison Elementary to see the Dual Language program in action. Superintendent Reydal finished his district visit with a trip to SEATech to tour the facility and see students participating in these hands-on programs.

“Walla Walla has a long history of quality education so it’s been an outstanding visit,” said Reykdal. “Telling the story of our kids and educators matters to legislators and it’s my role to bring the needs of schools to our elected officials.”
