Boosters Support Floor Design

Walla Walla High School Boosters donation helps fund 1990 “big gym” floor logo design

Walla Walla Public Schools continues to make preventative maintenance a priority with the resurfacing of gym floors at several schools over the summer to preserve the life of the hardwood and improve safety.

Walla Walla High School Big Blue Boosters supported this maintenance initiative by providing a generous donation to the district to help fund the painted graphics of the 32-year-old Walla Walla High School gym floor. The new floor design features the traditional Blue Devil logos, new center court image and block letters of the school name on the main court.

“The hardwood is in excellent shape, but it needed to be sanded and completely resurfaced after three decades of use,” said Facilities and Operations Director Mike Kay. “The Big Blue Boosters are an amazing partner and we appreciate the Boosters for allocating funds from their annual Silent Auction Fundraiser to help add some exciting logo and center court improvements to the finished product.”
