Walla Walla Public Schools offers free summer meals

Walla Walla Public Schools is providing free meals to children 18 and younger this summer as part of the USDA Summer Food Program for Children. The federal government has new program requirements for this summer. Meal service will look different than the past two summers now that many COVID precautions have been removed.

Meals are served free at qualifying sites during the dates and times listed below. Please note that not all schools have free summer meal service. Sites are qualified based on the percentage of students who qualify to receive free and reduced-price meals.

Meals are served in-person and must be eaten at the site. There is no longer grab-n-go or drive-up meal service. Parents/guardians may not take meals home to students. Sites will begin serving meals on Monday, June 27.

Meal Sites

Edison Elementary, Green Park Elementary, Sharpstein Elementary, and Garrison Middle School:
• June 27-July 27, Monday-Friday, Breakfast 8:00-8:30 a.m., Lunch 11:00-11:30 a.m., Closed July 4 & 5

YMCA:
• June 27-August 26, Monday-Friday, Breakfast 7:45-8:15 a.m., Lunch 11:30-12 p.m., Closed July 4

Washington Park:
• June 27-August 26, Monday-Friday, Lunch 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m., Closed July 4

Memorial Park:
• June 27-August 26, Monday-Friday, Breakfast 8:30-9 a.m., Lunch 11:15 a.m.-12 p.m., Closed July 4

Valle Lindo:
• June 27-August 26, Monday-Friday, Breakfast 8:30-9:00 a.m., Lunch 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m., Closed July 4

Wildwood Park:
• June 27-August 26, Monday-Friday, Breakfast 8:30-9:00 a.m., Lunch 11:45 a.m.-12:15 p.m., Closed July 4
