Grad Gives Commons New Look

Local businessman and Class of 1982 graduate John Sasser created and installed a giant Blue Devil logo for the renovated and expanded Wa-Hi Commons building. Sasser is the owner of Integrity Design in Walla Walla and has spent more than 30 years in the printing business.

“It was neat to go back to the place I used to eat lunch and give something back to today’s generation of students,” said Sasser. “Wa-Hi has meant so much me in my life and I’m proud to be able to help out with the renovation project.”

Students are starting to use the Commons on a limited basis. It is expected to be in full use soon.

A priority for the district’s bond program from day one has been supporting local businesses.  Click on the link to see a complete list of local businesses working on bond projects: https://www.wwps.org/bond/contractors-and-vendors
