The district’s move to eliminate all fees to participate in school activities is having a positive impact on student engagement. Nearly 1000 students attended the outdoor Homecoming Dance last weekend at the district’s Transportation facility.
Walla Walla High School Principal Ron Higgins said it was the biggest turnout for Homecoming in his 37 years working at the school. He said students were respectful about wearing masks and adhering to all the COVID safety protocols.
During Friday’s Homecoming game, the 2021 Homecoming Court was announced.
