WW Dept. of Health Weekly COVID Dashboard Report

This week's Walla Walla County COVID Activity Report revealed that comminuty transmission rates have met the metric to transition back high school students under the AM/PM schedule. Representing a remarkable decline in community COVID spread over the last 2 months, case counts are down to 110 new cases over a 2 week period for the region's 55,000 residents.

This low transmission rate meets the criteria under the Governor's guidlines to transition back high school students to in person learning. Additionally, the report showed that test positivity rate and hospital bed access are also markedly down. The school board will be reviewing this report at a work session they have scheduled for this Wednesday evening, in addition to discussing specific start dates for 9th graders and upperclassmen.
