1979 Girls BBall Team Honored
Forty years after the 1979 Walla Walla High School girls basketball team cut down the nets following its state championship, players and former coach Marda McClenny were honored at the conclusion of the girls varsity game Jan. 11. McClenny, Washington state Coaches Hall of Fame member, introduced the players and commented on their contributions to the team. The 1979 team defeated Battle Ground 57-45 for the title.
