Exchange Club Youth of the Month

Congratulations to Walla Walla High School seniors (L-R) Emmalee Johnson and Elizabeth Moore for receiving Exchange Club of Walla Walla Youth of the Month Awards this month. These students will also be eligible to compete for the Exchange Club of Walla Walla Youth of the Year Award and a special $1,000 college scholarship.

2019-20 Youth of the Month Essay Theme: “We are a nation of communities... a brilliant diversity spread like stars, like a thousand points of light in a broad and peaceful sky.” - George H.W. Bush; How do you intend to serve as an example, now and in the future, of a responsible American citizen? Mark Higgins is the program coordinator.

Student recipients complete a comprehensive award application form, write an essay and speak in front of Exchange Club members as part of the award program.

Emmalee Johnson
Parents: Brandon and Sarah Johnson
3.993 GPA, #7 out of 422 classmates

Emmalee plans to attend a four year university to study health sciences and pre-medicine. She is actively in Link Crew, Green Club, Girl's League, Drama, National Honor Society and Girls swimming.

Elizabeth Moore
Parents: Frederick and Sara Moore
3.934 GPA, #26 out of 422 in class

Elizabeth, who goes by Daisy, plans to attend a four year university to study Environmental Science/Energy Technology. She is actively involved in the Outdoor Club, Chemistry Club, Buddy Club, Girls' League, Green Club, Key Club, Knowledge Bowl, Arts in the Community Club, Drama Club and Key Club. She also participates in varsity Cross Country, varsity Track and is a Black Belt in karate.
