Thompson named to ESD Board

PASCO, WA – Educational Service District 123 welcomed Mark Thompson as the newest member of the board of directors at the March 28 board meeting. He is filling the vacancy for District #3 left by the retirement of former board chair, Bruce Wildfang, after six years of service on the ESD 123 Board of Directors. District #3 includes part of Walla Walla.

Mr. Thompson previously worked in and around education as a teacher, coach, and insurance broker specializing in school districts. He is currently the owner of MT Consulting and provides harassment and discrimination prevention consultation for public schools and universities. In addition to consulting for school districts in the region, including Walla Walla Public Schools, he has provided leadership and human relations risk management trainings for ESD 123 since 2017.

“I have been involved in public education my entire working career, and have consulted with ESDs for over 20 years,” says Mr. Thompson. “I believe very strongly in the ESD mission.”
