교육감 학생 자문 위원회(SAC)는 무엇입니까?

The SAC is made up of 16 students, in grades 9-12, who currently attend Walla Walla High School, Lincoln High School, Opportunity Program or Walla Walla Online. The advisory council was developed to intentionally seek out and respond to the specific needs of Walla Walla Public Schools high school students. Now, more than ever, student voice at the district table is critical as we seek out ways to reimagine and improve our schools to better support students.

The WWPS Student Advisory Council meets regularly throughout the school year. Additional meetings may be necessary. As a member of SAC, participants:

2023-24 자문 위원회 학생 식별 이니셔티브

• Develop and implement processes and practices that increase the racial/ethnic diversity of students who participate in AP/Honors/Advanced classes.

• Revisit flex advisory/bell schedule to ensure it is meeting the needs of students academically and socially-emotionally.

• Improve sustainability/green efforts throughout the WWPS district.

• Implement awareness measures and develop additional supports/training to help address student mental health and staff/student interactions.

신청 절차

Students are selected by representatives from the Equity Department and/or Superintendent's Office and serve one-year terms. Underclassmen may continue to serve throughout their high school term.
