The board of directors is responsible to ensure that every effort is made to conserve energy and natural resources while exercising sound financial management. Effective energy management will be instituted and conservation attitudes and skills will be developed for the staff and students served. Energy management is the joint responsibility of all district staff and students, and its success is based on cooperation at all levels.

The superintendent or designee will establish and implement procedures for facilities management, planning, and curriculum in the area of energy awareness and conservation.
