The recent announcement from the Center forDisease Control (CDC) approving the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children ages5-11 has prompted Walla Walla Public Schools to partner with the Walla WallaCounty Department of Community Health to offer voluntary vaccine clinics inschools to district students. These clinics are tentative until final approvalfrom the Washington State Department of Health. Students ages 5-11 aretypically in grades kindergarten to 6. Parent/guardian permission forms arerequired for all students. Due to different dosing levels, students 12 andolder are not eligible for this opportunity, but may access one of the manyopportunities available through the Department of Community Health which can beaccessed here: https://www.covidwwc.com/clinics
Students in grades K-5 must be accompanied bya parent/guardian at the school while vaccines are administered. Sixth gradestudents may get vaccinated with written parent consent only. Parent must beturned in at the time of vaccination. Additional paper copies are available atschools and the Walla Walla County Department of Community Health. Studentsaged 5-11 may receive vaccines at any of these locations listed below to makeit more convenient for families.
