Superintendent Student Advisory Council
What is the Superintendent Student Advisory Council (SAC)?

The Superintendent Student Advisory Council (SAC) is a representative group of Walla Walla Public Schools high school students in grades 9–12. Established to elevate student voice, the council provides a direct channel for students to share their perspectives, experiences, and ideas with Superintendent Dr. Ben Gauyan and district leadership. Through their participation, students help identify priorities and opportunities that strengthen the overall school experience, ensuring that district decisions reflect the needs and aspirations of those most impacted—our students. Council members also gain valuable leadership, collaboration, and policy-making skills that prepare them for future success.
The SAC demonstrates the district’s commitment to partnering with students as active contributors in shaping schools that are inclusive, innovative, and supportive of every learner.
