WWPS has a water quality testing program to manage drinking water fixtures district-wide. All drinking water fixtures are sampled on a four-year cycle for lead content, utilizing the standards from the EPA and the state.

How the Testing Process Works
Step 1

All water outlets are inventoried and identified as possible drinking water fixtures.
Step 2

Water sampling, if fixture is used for drinking water.
Step 3

Remedial steps if result of sample exceeds 5ppb for lead.
Step 4

Resampling of drinking water fixtures to ensure they are below 5ppb for lead.
