Salary Credit Approval Procedures/Prior Approvals for CERTIFICATED STAFF

  • Step 1: Ask your building secretary for a Prior Approval Form or print one from the Human Resources Department web page (left column under Staff Forms). Complete the form for any non-district professional development opportunity for which you plan to receive credits or clock hours. Complete the form and attach all necessary documentation, sign and date in the Employee Declaration section, and forward to your supervisor for approval. This form must then be sent to the Personnel Office prior to the date of the class or workshop that you plan to attend.
  • Step 2: Complete the approved coursework, including those classes offered for district clock hours.
  • Step 3: For approved classes taken outside of the district, please send copies of clock hour forms or your transcripts to the Human Resources Department by October 1 in order to have them considered for a salary increase for the current school year.
  • Step 4: A transcript of all district clock hour activity will automatically be sent to the Human Resources Department in early September. You will receive a copy for your personal records.
