2022-2023 School Year
Myers-Stevens & Toohey & Co., Inc. insurance company brochures are made available in the Walla Walla Public Schools as a service to students and their families who may be interested in purchasing student accident insurance for this school year. The McDonald Zaring Insurance Agency is the local administrator of the Myers-Stevens & Toohey & Co., Inc. program; Walla Walla School District is not an agent for this insurance company or for the insured students.
Any student participating in competitive athletics is required by the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association to have adequate insurance. Parents who have private insurance for their students which meets the WIAA requirements for sports are not required to purchase the school accident insurance. A form releasing the school from any obligation must be signed by the parent and returned to the principal's office. These forms will be available in any school office.
Insurance is available for school time only, 24-hour coverage, dental, accident & sickness, life, pharmacy, and tackle football. Three plans, High, Mid, and Low, are offered by Myers-Stevens & Toohey & Co., Inc., with premium costs and benefits for each outlined in the brochure. All athletics are covered in the basic policy, except tackle football. Tackle football for grades 9 - 12 requires a premium in addition to the basic individual premium.
